The villa

The house sits inside the gates of Punta Mita, facing west, so the sunsets last all year, and it looks out over the 18th hole of the Pacifico golf course. Five of the ten suites are oceanfront, and every suite is named for a surf break along the coast, from La Bahia, the primary suite with direct access to the main pool, to Sayulita, Litibu and La Lancha.

Outside there are two pools, two outdoor jacuzzis and a champagne bar, with a fire pit and fireplaces for cooler evenings. Inside the grounds are a full-size gym, a zen studio for yoga and meditation, a spa with a cold plunge jacuzzi, a steam room and two treatment cabins, a golf simulator, pickleball and bocce courts, and a game room with billiards, shuffle table and an 85-inch cinema.
