Golf and carts
Punta Mita has two Jack Nicklaus Signature courses, Pacifico and Bahia, and our golf guide explains how they differ. Play runs through Club Punta Mita, and renters staying inside the gates can usually arrange tee times, with terms set by the Club. Golf carts are how guests move around the peninsula, so ask whether one is included and how many.
For a golf group
- Choose a villa with enough bedrooms for your foursome or two.
- Ask for early breakfast and a packed lunch for the course.
- Arrange tee times and transfers through the villa concierge.
- Plan non-golfers' days: spa, beach club, boat trips.
The two courses
Punta Mita holds two Jack Nicklaus Signature courses inside the gates. Pacifico is the original, running along the ocean on the north side of the peninsula, and its optional third hole, the Tail of the Whale, plays to a natural island green built on a rock outcrop in the sea. Bahia climbs the bay side with elevation and long water views. In winter you may see whales breaching between shots.
How access works for renters
Play runs through Club Punta Mita. Access belongs to members, residents and resort guests, and renters staying inside the gates can usually arrange tee times, with terms set by the Club. Club access works by tier, covering golf and beach club use, so ask what applies to your stay before you plan tee times.
Beyond the course
Just north, Mandarina has added a Greg Norman designed short course, and the wider Vallarta area has more golf. For non-golfers, the same week can include the beach club, the spa, boat days and dinners in the village.
How Costa works
Costa is a free local guide to a curated collection of homes it knows in person. You tell us your dates, group size and must-haves, we match the current collection, and we confirm every detail directly with the property before anything is booked. Payment stays between you and the property, and Costa does not quote prices.
Who this is not for
If golf is only one of several activities, choose the villa by setting and group size first, since every community on the peninsula is close to the courses by cart.
Tell Costa your dates, group size and must-haves in the chat, and we will send the current collection that fits.
